CASE STUDIES Department of Health & Social Care Advising on a variety of workstreams relating to Test & Trace throughout the pandemic, including on a series of procurement procedures for the purchase of lateral flow kits. Vaccine Task Force Advising on a series of projects for the manufacture and supply of vaccines including negotiating the arrangements with Wockhardt, for the reservation of manufacturing capacity by HMG. We supported BEIS to draft and negotiate contract, and advise on life sciences regulatory issues and subsidy control. Major independent care provider Advising a major independent care provider of over 230 free NHS and social care services across the UK, on a number of critical contracts including advising on procurement issues, including a £100m+ procurement claim and on the procurement law implications of a proposed corporate restructuring exercise. University of Oxford Advising on the establishment of the ground-breaking Vaccine Manufacturing and Innovation Centre and then VMIC on its subsequent additional government funding to deal with COVID-19 issues. Utilities company CASE STUDIES Advising on a high profile multi-fatality incident at its operational site and were instructed within hours of the incident to advise on its immediate response and on the investigations by the Police and HSE. Tram operating company Advising on the multi-fatality Sandilands incident including the third party investigations and at the 10 week inquest. The issues raised in those investigations include our client’s approach to identifying low frequency high consequence events. Grenfell Tower Acting for one of the core Participants to the Inquiry in relation to the collation, review, and analysis of evidence for submission to the Inquiry. MOD Drafting and developing suite of H&S clauses and reporting templates for a project relating to one of the UK’s largest defence programmes and nationally important non-contentious matter, drawing on expertise from our Defence, Nuclear, and H&S teams. Train operating company Advising following the death of an employee from COVID-19 and subsequent internal and Office of Road and Rail investigations and on participation in an inquest.
